Commission Requests
Thank you for your interest in commissioning me! The process starts with an idea of what you want to be created whether it’s a metamorphosis inspired room, custom bug room, or a small shadowbox (more details can be found below). I will bring your idea to life with love and lace!
Once you’ve got an idea please send me an email arianna@bugsandbows.com where I can help answer your questions.
From there once the commission idea has been solidified I will send you a contract with this information that you will sign. This contract helps us understand the expectations with the project and details on the process.
To get started on your piece I take 50% of the commission price to buy the supplies necessary. I will not start the commission without the full 50% deposit. This deposit is nonrefundable once the work has already started. If you need more time with payment or have other questions let me know.
When I’ve received the deposit I will purchase the supplies and start your piece. I will send you photos and videos of the project near completion. From there if there are any changes you wish to make I will complete them. Then I will send the updated version to you. If there are any other changes you want to make at this point there will be an additional fee. Please allow 2-4 weeks for the creation process.
After the commission is completed I will ship it off after I have received the remainder of the commission price. Payments can be sent via PayPal, CashApp or Venmo. Payments via Paypal will have a 5% added fee to cover Paypal’s transaction fees.

“Kafkaqette”
“As Gregor Samsa awoke one morning from uneasy dreams he found himself transformed in his bed into a gigantic insect.” These one-of-a-kind 7 x 7 acrylic shadowbox is inspired by the surreal transformation of Gregor Samsa. This cutesy diorama puts a feminine and relatable twist on the literary classic featuring:
- A sustainably sourced atlas beetle
- Handmade or sourced furniture, including a bed, nightstand, and other optional features
- Elegant lace and ribbon details
- adorning the scene

Mini Dioramas
Small in size but still full of charm, these Mini Shadowbox Dioramas are the perfect way to bring a touch of sweetness to your space. Measuring 4.2 x 4.2 inches, each piece features an insect in a delightful miniature scene that reflects your unique vision.
